to help us with our 2010 builds and the ReStore
 

Cincinnati Habitat has new opportunities for volunteers to participate in the mission of Habitat for Humanity. 

• Like to work on a construction site?  We are building 10 new contruction homes and 4 rehabs in 2010.

• Prefer the cooler temperatures indoors?  Then come volunteer at our new office on Para Drive.

• Excited about helping Cincinnati Habitat build the ReStore operation?  There are all types of opportunities available there.

Cincinnati Habitat will provide on-site training and skilled leaders who provide the necessary direction for whatever volunteer task you undertake.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES -- CONSTRUCTION
After you have signed up to volunteer on a construction site, please remember to:

• Be on site and ready to work by 8:00am!
• Review the construction safety guide!
• Complete and bring your waiver and medical forms with you!
• Bring a smile and energy to work!

Not comfortable with swinging a hammer but would still like to get out to the construction site?  Then consider some of these opportunities:

     Site Host:  Every construction site needs site hosts to welcome volunteers and make sure they fill out the
     necessary paperwork and get their name tags.  This position is a critical need for every build site.  For
     more information on the role of the site host, read this.

     Lunch Provider:  Habitat for Humanity has a long-standing tradition of providing a meal to those working
     on the job site, but we need volunteers to provide this service.  For more details, read this.

OTHER VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Cincinnati Habitat is not just about construction.  Much more is needed to provide simple, decent and affordable housing for low-income families.  If you would like to help, please consider some of these  opportunities.

Orientation
Potential volunteers are asked to attend an orientation session to become familiar with the operation of Cincinnati Habitat for Humanity and its volunteer program. Orientation will include Cincinnati Habitat mission, history, volunteer opportunities, commitment, training requirements, policies and procedures.  Please check back for the date of our next volunteer orientation.

Team Building Opportunity: If your group wants to build on a work site during the week and is looking for a great team building experience, consider becoming a Corporate Team Builder.
