Cincinnati Habitat Nominated
for Torch Award

We are excited to announce that Cincinnati Habitat for Humanity has been named as a finalist for the 2009 Better Business Bureau's Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics.  This award gives recognition and honor to those organizations that fully commit to ethical practices in their business operations.  This is a very prestigious award and, while more than 30 non-profit applications were reviewed, only 5 were named as finalists. 

Cincinnati Habitat will be honored as a finalist at the Torch Awards event at Music Hall on the evening of October 22 at 6:00 p.m.  Two winners in the non-profit category will also be announced that evening. 

Cincinnati Habitat is grateful for this esteemed recognition and continues to strive to provide its families, volunteers, supporters and staff the best possible service and experience when giving of their time, talent and treasure to the important mission of Habitat both here and around the world.

Cincinnati Habitat for Humanity's Young Professionals are organizaing the first Raise the Roof 5K Run and Walk to be held Saturday, October 17.   The race will be held at Sharon Woods Park in Sharonville, OH.   The starting line will be at the entrance off of 42/Lebanon Rd.  The Post Race Party will be at the Sharon Woods Council Bluff Picnic Shelter.  The event will be held rain or shine.

Oho National Partners with Cincinnati Habitat

To commemorate it's 100th anniversary, Ohio National Financial Services partnered with Cincinnati Habitat for Humanity to fund the construction of 10 homes over a five year period -- the largest ever one-time gift in the affiliate's history.  This Centennial House stands as a symbol of this unprecedented partnership and can be viewed at Ohio National Financial Services offices located at One Financial Way, Cincinnati, OH 45242.
