Volunteering at the Cincinnati Habitat ReStore

Cincinnati Habitat for Humanity has opened a ReStore located at  4910 Para Drive in Bond Hill (45237).  However, the ReStore can’t exist without the help of volunteers. Please consider giving a little of your time to help this worthy project. Your efforts will help Cincinnati Habitat for Humanity increase house production and make a difference in even more lives of Cincinnati area families.

Some of the Restore's most pressing need for volunteers are in the following areas:

Customer Serivce – we need people who like to interact with the public and would help answer customer questions.   

            Requirements:
            Friendly, outgoing and comfortable interacting with the public
            Detail oriented to fill out needed paperwork
            Working conditions - Warehouse and outdoor

Merchandise ReStockers – we need people who like to help keep things neat and tidy.  This will involve organizing the shelves and dusting/cleaning the merchandise.   

Warehouse Workers

            Requirements:
            Able to lift 50 lbs if needed  
            Available to work on Saturdays
 

ReStore Truck Driver – we need truck drivers to drive Habitat for Humanity vehicles to pick up donated goods or delivery purchased items, create efficient routes, phone donors & delivery recipients to confirm they are home, distribute donation receipts, load/unload when necessary, screen for product usability, perform minor maintenance on Restore vehicles (clean vehicle, fill tank, tire inflation, etc.) and keep all merchandise and money secure.

            Requirements:
            Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record
            Must have experience driving trucks or towing trailers
            Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs., stand, squat, bend, and climb in/out of truck
            Working conditions – truck and outdoor

ReStore Truck Assistant – we need assistance for our truck drivers as they pick up items in the region.

            Requirements:
            Friendly, outgoing and comfortable interacting with the public
            Able to lift 50 lbs if needed
            Detail oriented to fill out paperwork if needed
            Helpful – familiarity of roads in Tri-State region
            Working conditions – truck and outdoor

Cashier

            Requirements:
            Friendly, outgoing and comfortable interacting with the public
            Retail experience preferred   
            Available to work on Saturdays
            Detail oriented
